Spanish Workshops for primary teachers in London, Friday March 27

The Consejería de Educación, in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes Londres, has arranged a full day of activities for teachers of Spanish in primary schools.

The programme includes workshops on storytelling, food, CLIL, showcases and a performance of a play written and produced for children who are learning Spanish in KS1 and KS2.

Visit their website www.mepsyd.es/exterior/uk to download full programme, application form, speakers' profiles and abstract of sessions. The whole event will be friendly to teachers with a limited competence in Spanish.

The ALL Spring Meeting & AGM, March 21st 2009

The ALL (Association for Language
Learning) Spring Meeting and AGM is being held at the Norton Knatchbull School in Ashford from 9am till 1pm on Saturday 21st March. The agenda includes looking at transition KS2 - KS3, and the new KS3 curriculum. If you are not members already of ALL, have you thought about joining? Becoming a member of the ALL provides opportunities to keep up to date with Language Learning issues; evidence of professional standards; opportunities for professional development and networking, and a chance to have your say in policy making (see their website for further details - http://www.all-languages.org.uk/)
